BFF's

Kiki and her cousin, E, are inseparable when they are together. E just turned 5 in January, which means they will be attending kindergarten at the same time. Unfortunately, E's parents just moved to the next city over and they will not be attending the same school. We're a little bitter, but at least they aren't far away!

We went to a birthday party for E's little brother last weekend. Uncle Gramps (Kiki's Great Uncle is E's Grampa, so it just evolved into Uncle Gramps) brought his horse and let the kids ride around. We had a blast!

Does this girl know how to pose or what? :)

Kiki Jones

We started using the nickname Kiki when she was born. We really don't like the nickname, it actually started off as a joke! I started calling her that just because I knew it would get on my husband's nerves. And it did. So of course, I kept calling her that. Now he calls her that too. Somewhere along the way, Jones was put on the end. Now she's Kiki Jones.

This morning she said, "Daddy, all the dinosaurs are dead... and Michael Jackson is too". Hahaha I love that little girl!

Edits, or lack thereof

Most of the time, I edit my pictures. Not too much since I'm no master at editing, but just a little tweak here and there and lots of cropping. I love it when I get a picture straight out of the camera (SOOC) that has good lighting and color, there's no blur on the eyes and they pop. It's hard when your subjects are little Tasmanian devils and won't sit still for 2 seconds.

Here's a SOOC picture I took last weekend, which pretty much sums up my relationship with Bubby. I'm holding a camera and he'd rather I hold him instead.

Of course I put my lens cap back on and picked him up! How could I resist those blue eyes?

Dancing Bubby

The sun's been shining a little more lately and spring is definitely in the air! We were at my dad's house last weekend and Bubby had a little pep in his step! He was dancing all over the place!

Hooray!

My computer is back in action! The virus is gone, thank goodness!

Tomorrow morning I have to take this little cutie to the doctor to get her pre-kindergarten shots! That's right, kindergarten! She will be starting school this fall. Seriously, how?

So, I took the entire day off because she might be a little cranky. I'm pretty sure she has to get stuck 4 times. Poor kiddo! I figured she could use some mother-daughter time without her little "bother" hanging around! :)

Looking back

Since my home computer is still on the fritz, I started looking back through old pictures I had saved in my Photobucket account. I came across these pictures of Bubby from last Easter. I just cannot believe how much he's grown in a year. He was 8 months old here (and just started sleeping through the night!)

By the way, I think it's just about time to just reformat our entire hard drive on the home computer. I've tried every trick I know and we still have a virus. I've been told that it's a good idea to reformat every few years anyway. I guess it's time!

Fried!

My home computer is so fried right now. We have a virus. After many, many attempts to run different virus/spyware scans, nothing has helped.

I've backed up most of my pictures already, so I'm not terribly worried about losing anything. I just hope I can find my Photoshop Elements CD in case I need to replace the software. I honestly wanted to upgrade anyway, so maybe this is a sign!

At least the hubby and I aren't wasting valuable time on Facebook every night!

See this big red Attention: Spyware Alert pop-up? Yeah, that's fake. And it won't go away.

So annoying! I hope the computer geeks in my life can help fix this!

Oh, and Happy St. Patrick's Day! I've got some adorable green earrings on today!

San Fran

Here are a couple more San Fran pics. I'm still in the process of going through all of them and still have plenty more to sort through and edit! First is a picture of the Golden Gate and next is looking through a fence towards Alcatraz.

I heart San Francisco

I started going through my pictures from our trip to San Francisco last weekend, but I'm still so tired that I didn't get very far. Considering I had probably 500 pictures (or more) to sort through, I still have a long way to go to. So here are a few that I've downloaded so far...

The first thing we did Friday morning was drive over the Golden Gate Bridge on our way to Muir Woods. That was an awesome drive! It was still a bit hazy that morning looking back over the bridge.

Here's a picture from the Muir Woods. The huge redwood trees were amazing!

I just love all of the architecture in San Francisco!

These huge crabs were at the Fisherman's Wharf. Tons of great seafood restaurants there!

Here's Lombard Street, which is famous for being the Crookedest Street in the world! Yep, we had to drive down it!!

Here's Alcatraz. We decided not to actually visit since it probably would have taken up too much time and we didn't have any to spare!

I'll have plenty more pictures to post this week! I'm sad to be back, but sure did miss my babies :)

10th picture (ok, it's actually my 20th!)

I'm joining my friend, Margaret, over at So Happily Us in her game where you go to your pictures on your computer and post the 10th picture.

I found my 10th and it was this... (only click on it if you dare!! It's a disgusting picture of a hole in my face. I was diagnosed with skin cancer last year and had mohs surgery to remove it. Thankfully, it is completely gone now!)
So I cheated and counted 10 more pictures. It's one of Kiki's adorable outfits that she put together for Valentine's day 2009. Click here and here for some of her other memorable outfits.
