I don't think it's any secret that large families are much harder to photograph than just individual people. You have a lot more faces to catch smiling or at least looking all the same direction! Well these folks rocked it! They must have been practicing!













And I just have to throw these last two in there. I've been laughing at this guy for many years now!

The L Family

What a fun family this is!! I'm not even going to tell you what all we laughed about but part of it had to do with imagining people in their underwear! What we won't do to get a few smiles out of the kids! HA

Love

Can I just say that I love everything about these pictures. Love them! I love how in love these two look in their pictures. I love how in love they are with their baby boy they haven't even met yet. I love how this is one of the most ridiculously cute pregnant mama's I've ever seen (although she secretly makes me sick! Haha I'm kidding!! Only a little though :)










Haha It looks like baby Grey is hanging out on Mom's left side in the picture below....













I mad her wear the hat. She said they never look good on her. Are you kidding me??

I was going to edit the cheese off of Kiki's lip, but nahhhh, she's perfect just the way she is!

The C Family

I had the biggest scare in my photography life after I took the pictures of these kids. I thought I lost their pictures! I called their mom and told her they were gone. Wow, I almost had a heart attack when I realized that I had them on another memory card!

I would have been so bummed because look how adorable these kids are...
Believe it or not, the girls are twins (obviously fraternal twins because they definitely aren't identical). They are both equally sweet though!!



And I hope Mom & Dad have a good cellular package because I'm sure the girls are already calling and texting this one...















I'm so glad I didn't lose these!!

Indoor shots

I've been working on my indoor studio since it's getting too cold to shoot the little ones outdoors. I'm thankful that I have some adorable models!

Capture Memphis

Last May, I submitted some pictures to the Capture Memphis website. This website is sponsored by The Commercial Appeal (local newspaper) and I'm Ready, ReadyShelby.org (public awareness website).

The book release party was last night. We all knew which photographers made the book, but did not know which pictures would be published. They put up a screen and had a slideshow for all of the published photos. I will admit, I got butterflies when my picture flashed on the screen!

Here are the stats:

So out of 17,000 photos, only 200+ made the final cut. Without further ado, here is my published photo...




I was actually pretty shocked to see this picture! Especially since it was one of my very first photo shoots (that did not involve my own kids)! However, it is still one of my favorite portraits.
