Our Saturday afternoon

Thanks to my friend, Heather, we had a great day lounging around, listening to good music, and swimming.

We had so much fun with the dog of the house, Cloe. She loves the water and would have chased her favorite tennis ball all day long if we didn't make her rest occasionally.

This is Heather's baby girl, Stella Blue. She's too pretty to jump in the water. She doesn't want to mess up her hair.

Our Saturday morning

I'm desperately trying to learn how to get out of the auto mode on this camera. Practice makes perfect, so we had a little impromptu photo session this morning.

Figuring out lighting is hard. I feel like a lot of my pictures are too dark. I'll get there!

This picture cracked me up because she's already bugging him! She looks so happy to be poking him with a little piece of grass.

Speaking of lilies

Holy cow... I just stumbled across this picture from last year. I'm still shocked that these lilies are so tall now (see my last post)!

Lilies and Daddy's girl!

I planted these Asiatic Lilies two years ago and cannot believe how tall they are! The blooms are almost as big as Kiki's head.

I should save this picture of Daddy for Father's day because I don't get too many of him. But I couldn't resist. She just adores him...

Rub-a-dub

I cannot keep this boy sitting down in the tub anymore. At least it's easier to wash him now.
I have no idea where this next face came from. Every time Kiki and I would laugh, he would do it again.

Asleep at the wheel

Daddy took the kids for a little wagon ride around the neighborhood. Apparently somebody didn't get their nap out!

New bike

Kiki's daycare started a bike day for the 3 and 4 year olds, so of course we had to get her a spiffy, new bike to take to school.

My new bike!

Look, I've got Mommy's keys!

Where did they go?
Mom!! She took my keys!

Carbon Copy

I'm sure my kids are going to be as different as night and day in a few years. But so far I think they definitely resemble each other. She's grown so much in the last three years and as much as I want him to stay little, I cannot wait to see how he grows and changes!

I also think it's safe to say my camera has changed over three years as well! :)

April showers bring May flowers

Since I just started this blog, I'll probably be playing catch up for a while to get some of my older pics on here. We had a wonderful Mother's day at Mamaw & Papaw's house. They have lots of beautiful land and flowers. My stepmom and I took a walk to take some pictures (until we ended up stepping on fire ants - ouch!)...

My first blog...

I'm starting my blog off with a little Friday happiness.

I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing here, but I need a place to publish all of these photos I've been taking. I've literally taken approx. 1000 pictures since I got my new D-SLR for Christmas. I just hope I can become even half as good as some of my inspirations!

So welcome to my blog about all of the things that I heart ...
