Oh Christmas Tree x 2

This is the second year we've had two Christmas trees. With little ones running around, this was my solution to keep their little hands off of the nice tree. So we set up a 4-foot tree and I let the kids decorate it. They get all non-breakable ornaments and can put them wherever they like! We also put all of the singing Christmas toys in front of their tree.

So far this has worked like a charm! Kiki's old enough to know that she shouldn't touch the big tree, but Bubby hasn't even tried to touch it. We showed him how to turn on the singing toys and that keeps him busy enough. I've heard Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree more times than I care to this season, but at least he's having fun... and keeping his paws off of my tree! :)

Kiki loves having a Mommy tree and a Baby tree!

    Great idea. When GTO was little, I purchased a lot of non breakable ornaments to put on the bottom section of our tree. Now that the kids are older, I have been trying to replace some of the not so pretty non breakable ones with prettier ornaments. Maybe one day, our big tree will look as pretty as yours. :)

    what a great idea!! love it! so far i just follow grayson and EC all over the place telling them to LEAVE THE TREE ALONE! :)
